The Art of Science was sponsored by the Newton South fine and performing arts department in 2015. Invention and innovation are the undercurrents of this mural that celebrates STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) education. From left to right you can "read" the mural. A timeline of innovation though out history begins with the Lascaux Cave Paintings, the evolution of lions as an art form from different cultures, pioneers of science (Raphael's School of Athens, da Vinci, Newton, Marie Curie, Mariah Mitchell, and Ramanujan) , to the present depths of research, and into the future that is yet to be shaped. This mural welcomes viewers to interpret, synthesize, and be inspired by what they have learned here at South and beyond. The right half of the mural asks viewers to take ownership of how they will contribute to our collective future. It was designed by the artist based on ideas and drawings of the students. It was painted by the students during art class and on weekends.

Andover High School students collaborated with the artist and art teacher Jessica Daviso, to create a large mural on a curved wall in the high school. The wall features prominent figures who are a part of Andover's rich history. Among them are abolitionist Harriet Beecher Stowe, and Ann Bradstreet, known as the first American poet. Historic town buildings like Memorial Hall Library and Old Town Hall can also be seen in the mural. It also includes paintings of national birds from different countries, representing the school's diversity and the many countries that AHS students call home. Centered in the mural is a mill-wheel with the statement: "Drops of water turn a mill, singly none, singly none. Think globally, act locally." The water flowing through the mill wheel transforms into a quilt that is made up of the United Nation's sustainable development goals.

The World Languages Mural was commissioned by the World Languages Department of Lincoln-Sudbury High School and supported by a STARS grant from the MCC. It was based on drawings by high school art students and painted by world language students and others.

This was a collaborative mosaic and ceramic tile (bas relief) project working with the ceramic classes taught by art teacher Josie Chase at Braintree High School. Josie and I worked with the art club students to develop a design based on the seasonal traditions and events at the school and in the town of Braintree. The design was enlarged on to plastic which was then cut into templates to create the tile pieces. Other areas were created separately in glass mosaic and then combined.

This mural is prominently located in downtown Natick at the site of the train platform. The mural was designed and painted by teams of students from Natick High School, Wilson and Kennedy Middle Schools. The theme of the mural is the history of Natick, emphasizing the connection with the railroad. Highlights of the mural include a cutaway of an Amtrak commuter train with historical figures including Vice President Henry Wilson, football legend Doug Flutie, African American Civil War veterans, and Harriet Beecher Stowe. Other scenes feature Natick Native Americans, the Underground Railway in Natick, and the Boston Marathon.

"Waves of Change" was a collaboration with the students and the art teacher Amanda Davis of Hull High School. A large wall of the cafeteria blossomed into a boldly colored story of the town, from the roller coaster at Paragon Park and pioneering maritime lifesaver Joshua James to the Fort Revere tower and a scene of a couple gazing across the water at a sunset silhouette of Hull’s wind turbine and the Boston skyline.

"A Vision of Music" was designed and painted by art students at Shrewsbury High School, which now houses the middle school. It features famous musicians through history such as Beethoven, John Lennon, Jimmy Hendrix and Dizzy Gillespie. There are also images depicting the high school orchestra and band, connecting the local highly regarded music program with the history of musical accomplishment.

This mural is based on the history of English High School, which is one of the oldest public schools in the country. The mural depicts some of the various buildings that housed English High since its founding in 1824. In a band across the building landscape are images of students from different eras in history. The portraits are painted in sepia gradually taking on color in the present time.

This mural on three sides of the bus lobby, is about the legacy of the Native American leader King Philip who led an uprising against the early colonists. King Philip is depicted overlooking a cliff on one side of the mural. Another historical figure depicted in the mural is Helen Keller who lived in Wrentham for a time. The mural was designed and painted by a team of high school art students under the direction of the artist.
